2022 EAROPH World Congress
5-7 October 2022 in Surabaya, Indonesia
EAROPH delivered its biennial World Congress in Surabaya from 5 to 7 October 2022.
The 2022 the World Congress was held in hybrid mode whereby participants were able choose to attend in person or online through videoconferencing or Youtube streaming.
EAROPH Australia had a strong presence with several delegates attending the Congress and the EAROPH International Council and Executive Committee, that were held the day prior. Both the Council and the Executive Committee are important meetings as they set the future direction for EAROPH in the coming two years.
Important decisions were the election of Dr Emil Dardak, the current Vice-Governor for East Java Province in Indonesia, as the International EAROPH President for 2022-24. It was also decided that the next World Congress will be held in Islamabad, Pakistan in 2024.
