BENDIGO AND THE NEW URBAN AGENDA
How to implement sustainable development goals-
Case studies from Bendigo

The Australian Chapter of EAROPH together with the City of Greater Bendigo  hosted a think tank on how Australian cities can address emerging global issues on urbanisation. EAROPH is contributing to the UN’s New Urban Agenda, which will be launched in October 2016 at the UN Habitat III Conference in Quito, Ecuador. Case studies were used from Australia as a basis for recommended strategies. This think tank  examined how local experience suggests possible ways of addressing housing need, urban design, cultural development and economic growth focusing on case studies of Bendigo and its region.
